High Pines, Miami
5 Bedrooms | 4 Bathrooms | 3,300 Sq. Ft. Renovation + Primary Suite Addition | Design, Planning, Permitting & Construction | 2023
Project Overview
Scope: Full interior renovation of a 3,300 sq. ft. family home, including a new primary suite addition, all new kitchen and bathrooms, redesigned pool and outdoor living, and a complete systems upgrade.
Focus: Transform a compartmentalized layout into an open, connected home with strong indoor–outdoor flow and a private primary suite — designed to support long-term family life with comfort and ease.
Result: A bright, contemporary residence that feels spacious, warm, and fully connected — from the kitchen island to the outdoor kitchen to the pool.
Before: The High Pines home was a well-located, well-built family residence, but it had reached the limits of its original layout. A compartmentalized home with enclosed kitchen and dining, limited indoor–outdoor connection, and an undersized primary suite, it no longer fit how the owners lived.
After: A bright, open residence with a new primary suite addition, resort-style outdoor living, and seamless flow between kitchen, living, and outdoors — designed for long-term family life and entertaining family and friends.
Living, dining, and kitchen areas were combined into one space designed for everyday use and entertaining. An island anchors the kitchen, and a convenient laundry and mudroom was located behind the kitchen through a hidden door.
A newly constructed primary suite with direct access to the outdoors added space for the growing family. The addition included a walk-in closet and a luxury bathroom with steam-shower. All existing bedrooms and bathrooms were remodeled as well.
The kitchen, living area, and primary suite were all opened to the patio, where a redesigned pool and deck, a new outdoor kitchen, and warm wood ceiling create a space built for family entertaining. A new wood entry door and ceiling detail connect the design from front to back.
